Emhart Glass completes acquisition of ICS Inex Inspection Systems

Cham, Switzerland — Emhart Glass, a division of Bucher Industries and the world’s leading supplier of machinery for the glass container industry, has completed the purchase of ICS Inex Inspection Systems of Clearwater, FL, USA. The acquisition of ICS Inex, a privately-held company, took place 20 March, 2007.

With the acquisition of ICS Inex, the Emhart Glass Cold End business unit has been renamed Emhart Inex. Emhart Inex, over time, will consolidate its manufacturing in Elmira, NY. Similarly, Emhart Inex’s R&D and Marketing activities will be centralized in Clearwater, at the former ICS Inex headquarters.

In addition to the successful Veritas series inspection systems from Emhart Glass, the Emhart Inex portfolio now includes high-precision on-line sampling systems, label inspection devices for unfilled and filled containers, and a range of successful vision inspection machines that complement the Veritas and ProScanner products. All of these products will now be offered under the Emhart Inex name.

Emhart Inex is headed by Mr. Laundry. The Emhart Inex management team includes:
