Veritas iC

Setting new standards. Since its introduction in 2003, Veritas has continually set new standards for online glass container inspection. Today, the Veritas iM, iB, and iC, are among the most popular quality assurance solutions for glass container manufacturers.

The Emhart Glass Veritas Series of inspection systems is a complete line of inspection machines that incorporate some of the most advanced inspection and handling technologies available in simple, easy-to-use machines.

Customer-focused innovation is at the heart of every one of our inspection solutions. No where is this more evident than in the Emhart Glass Veritas iC sidewall/dimensional inspection system. We made it flexible, offering 6-, 9- and 12-camera configurations designed to snap up to 18 images of round or non-round containers as they move, untouched, through the system’s two inspection stations. The use of additional cameras (the standard Veritas iC is equipped with six) enables increased inspection flexibility by allowing the system to capture more views that can be dedicated and optimized for specific inspections.

We also made the Veritas iC easy to job change and maintain, from precision optics that open out for easy cleaning, to software tools that enable complete job changes to be performed in just a few minutes. More important, we made the Veritas iC the most reliable, accurate sidewall/dimensional inspection system available.

6-camera - 12 image system

In the 6-camera system, dimensional inspection uses either the opaque or transparent inspection images.

Station 1 (6 images):

  • Opaque and transparent defect detection
  • Dimensional inspection

Station 2 (6 images):

  • Opaque defect detection
  • Stress detection

9-camera 18 image system (option)

In the 9-camera system, dimensional inspection can be based on unique images optimized for dimensional inspection.

Station 1 (3 cameras 6 images):

  • Opaque and transparent defect detection

Station 2 (6 cameras 12 images)

  • Opaque and tranparent defect detection
  • Stress detection
  • dimensional detection

12-camera (near-infrared) system (option)

The 12-camera (near-infrared) system is designed for optimal inspection of dark (almost opaque) containers, as well as conventional lighter-colored or clear containers.

Station 1 (6 images):

  • Opaque and transparent defect detection
  • Dimensional inspection

Station 2 (6 images):

  • Opaque defect detection
  • Stress detection
