The Emhart Glass Aftermarket Services program includes:

Check Detector and CIM Rebuild/Upgrade

Rebuild and upgrade programs for the Emhart Powers Check Detector and Combined Inspection Machine (CIM) literally transform these used inspection machines (regardless of their condition) into almost like-new condition and/or give existing machines improved functionality. The Check Detector and CIM rebuild/upgrade programs provide a cost-effective way to protect your inspection equipment investment.

Rebuild/Upgrade Options

  • Complete Rebuild. The used Check Detector or CIM is returned to Emhart Glass where it is completely dismantled and rebuilt using new and/or refurbished OEM parts and accessories. The rebuilt machine is rewired and equipped with the current PC-based QualiTrac electronics.
  • Mechanical-only Rebuild The machine’s existing electronics are left intact and all mechanical assemblies are rebuilt or replaced with new or refurbished equipment.
  • Electronics-only Upgrade Existing Computer Console, Check Tracer, or Defect Tracer electronics are replaced with PC-based QualiTrac electronics.

 

Super Inspector Rebuild/Upgrade for Inex 5*512 Sidewall/Dimensional Inspector

The Super Inspector rebuild/upgrade program can “Super”-charge your existing Inex 5*512 sidewall/dimensional inspection machine, bringing it up to the latest standard. The result: the 5*512 becomes a full-featured Emhart Inex Super Inspector3. Much more than an upgrade, this refurbishing program includes new hardware, electronics, and software, giving you a modern inspection system at a fraction of the cost of new equipment.

With the Super Inspector rebuild/upgrade you get:

  • Improved reliability
  • Simplified maintenance

ProLaser™ Plus Upgrade

The upgrade program for the ProLaser container profile gauging system can convert an existing system into the Emhart Glass ProLaser Plus system that includes the latest laser-based dimensional gauging technology, as well as new, container weight measurement. This upgrade includes new, Windows®-based inspection software and an easy-to-use, pendant arm-mounted touch-screen display.

With the ProLaser Plus upgrade you get:

  • Easier to use, touch-screen user interface
  • Inspection job backup and portability using a USB memory stick
  • Existing job files from the original ProLaser can be imported to the upgraded ProLaser Plus

Options

The ProLaser upgrade also can include the following optional inspections, available only on the ProLaser Plus:

  • Finish profile gauge for measurement and detection of flange finish and knockout defects, as well as D-angle finish measurement
  • ID gauge for accurate measurement of up to 10 diameter locations

 

SuperScan Digital 2 Upgrade

The SuperScan Digital 2 upgrade converts an existing SuperScan into a high-performance base and sealing surface inspection system with the latest in digital camera technology and inspection software. The upgrade also includes the popular one-box design that moves all electronics into a single, easy-access, location.

With a SuperScan Digital 2 upgrade you get:

  • Improved inspection software. New software permits multiple inspection zones with multiple tests per zone for round and non-round containers.
  • Digital cameras. New digital cameras can be set to work in either high- or low-resolution.
  • Improved user interface. The upgrade includes a pendant arm-mounted, Windows®-based, touch-screen display.

 

OptiScan Plus Upgrade

The upgrade program for the OptiScan Empty Container Inspection System is a camera-based inspection upgrade kit that can extend the life of existing installed systems at an attractive investment, while adding significant inspection improvements. The upgrade kit also can be configured to allow you to use your existing starwheel and container handling system.

Standard features of the OptiScan Plus that are included in the upgrade:

  • 640 x 480 pixel vision base inspection
  • Windows®-based, touch-screen user interface
  • Up to 16 programmable inspection zones
  • Self-diagnostics, password protection, reject alarms, and statistics

Options

The OptiScan Plus upgrade also can include the following optional inspections:

  • High-frequency residual liquid detection for inspecting containers for residual liquid after washing
  • Chipped finish detection for detecting chips in the sealing surface
