Service Engineer Controls Hot End

Job Function:

  • Provide professional customer services. Plan and prepare installations, commissioning and start-ups of Emhart Glass equipment. Instruct customers on proper set-up and operation of equipment. Trouble-shooting assistance on Emhart Glass products and provide on-site hands-on support

Main Tasks:

  • Plan, prepare and conduct installation, commissioning and start-up of equipment as per project
  • Specify controls installation material
  • Training and know-how transfer to customers on equipment installed
  • Provide “After-Sales” service and trouble shooting to customers
  • Conduct equipment audits at customers’ site and make recommendations for upgrade and maintenance

Other Tasks:

  • Provide customer training on behalf of the Emhart Glass training center
  • Assist Sales in technical discussions with customers

Required Knowledge, Education and Experience:

  • You have a degree or a completed apprenticeship in controls engineering or equivalent experience with strong interest in mechanical engineering
  • You have very good knowledge in controls and with servo electric drives
  • You have two to three years of experience an engineering enviornment either as a Service Engineer or as Maintenance Engineer

    You like to work in teams and you easily obtain natural leadership.
  • Communication skills:
    You have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Languages skills:
    • Good in English, both spoken and written
    • Any additional other major European language is an asset, in particular German, French, Italian or Spanish
  • Training skills:
    In the interaction with customers you have the ability to teach them on how they can use our equipment
  • Computer skills:
    • Microsoft office tools
    • E-mail system (we are using Lotus Notes)

You like:

  • …. to representing the company Emhart Glass as you may in many cases be the only front man

Furthermore:

  • You are willing to travel frequently, mainly internationally
  • You have a traveling passport and a driving license for passenger car
