Bucher Emhart Glass informs about its glasstec participation and forward thinking measures and decisions

With the uncertain development of the Corona crisis and uncertainty in international travels Bucher Emhart Glass has decided for the best of the customers and employees not to be present at glasstec 2020 in Dusseldorf, Germany from 20-23 October 2020. This will of course not hold the company back in bringing new innovations to the market. “It was quite a disappointing decision for us as glasstec is an important portal and the most important exhibition allowing us to meet and greet our customers and partners and to exchange views and opinions”, says Werner Gessner, VP Sales and Marketing. “We believe though, that it is our duty to respect the health and safety of our customers and employees in these difficult times and think of other ways to keep connected with the glass industry to convey news, trends and solutions and to strengthen our partnerships. We are very much looking forward to the glasstec 2022.”

“Emhart understands the need to bring new developments to the market and to properly and personally inform our customers”, confirms Werner Gessner. “We are therefore working on regional events in early 2021 to connect with our customers and partners and to personally show the glass industry our developments, improvements and innovations.” In the meantime, the company will continue all developments to keep its position as technology leader.

Additionally, and as previously announced Bucher Emhart Glass has extended its FlexIS Remote Service free of charge until June 30, 2020 and will continue to do so until year end 2020. Emhart has also increased its offering for phone and remote support for our forming and inspection equipment in order to support your operations remotely. “We are pleased to be able to offer this extended service,” says Martin Jetter, President at Bucher Emhart Glass. “With the continuous insecurities around the pandemic situation Emhart strongly believes in supporting our customers on a daily basis and with any available method. These challenging times are also an opportunity to explore new ways of collaborating with our customers and partners while we look forward to being able to personally be available at glass plants. In the meantime we wish you all the best and stay healthy. The entire team is looking forward to the day we can meet in person again.”
