Laser marking in the hot end

The ID Mark+ is the latest generation of the Bucher Emhart Glass laser marking system, designed to print a unique code on containers at the hot end. Printing at the hot end is the only way to achieve permanent marking while preserving the integrity of the glass. It also enables full global traceability, data-driven analysis and closed loop control between the cold end and the hot end, allowing precise and rapid identification of defective containers.

Building on the proven success of the original ID Mark, which has a track record of more than 125 installations worldwide, this new generation features increased printing power and smart solutions that simplify operation, reduce maintenance requirements and extend system lifetime.

Together with the Control Center, production data such as forming machine settings and sensor data can be linked to individual containers, providing the foundation for deeper process understanding and enhanced process control.

Additional benefits can be realized throughout the glass production value chain, including improved brand protection against counterfeit and more effective management of returnable bottles.
